"The heights by great men reached and kept
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they, while their companions slept,
Were toiling upward in the night."
~~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
In order to take advantage of losing weight and being successful, you must be prepared--that means " paying your dues."
Nothing is more frustrating than to see that you are gaining weight again.
Be in a position to benefit from your failure. It pays to be prepared, and that comes down to plain, hard work. It's not usually glamorous. It's not always exciting. It's not always fun. It is, however, always necessary.
By being prepared, you have to create a game plan to get back on track right away without beating yourself up and devastating your self-esteem. My game plan is taking it a bite at a time. What's your's? Maybe it's taking it a day at a time, going back to your diet tomorrow. Maybe it's getting angry and becoming more determined than ever to succeed.
Have you ever been at a Weight Watchers or TOPS meeting and noticed several people there who are slim and trim? What about those Jenny Craig and Nutri/System ad's with their before and after pictures? They make losing weight look so effortless, but remember, in reality, these people have been dieting for years.
Without effort and action, you will not succeed. You can't wish your weight away. You have to work at it and be prepared for those times when you slip, so you can pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move on...
Losing weight demands preparation, effort and commitment to come to fruition.

Why Most People Fail At Weight Loss
Why do so many people fail at losing weight? Is it because they are lazy? No. Is it because they are addicted to food? No. Is it because they aren’t good at exercising? No. Failure at weight loss stems from a few main factors:
1) People don't truly understand the risks of being overweight. Why do most want to lose weight? Most would say to look better. Looking better certainly is a benefit of losing weight, but this shouldn’t be the sole reason to lose weight. There is a 1000 pound gorilla in the room and it’s often ignored. Being overweight for a long period of time kills thousands of people each year. Thousands of studies have shown and proven without any doubt that losing body fat will improve and lengthen your life. Knowing the dangers of being overweight is a tremendous motivator to not only lose fat, but to keep it off.
2) People don't commit to permanent lifestyle changes. So many people think of a "diet" as something temporary. When they are on a "diet" they restrict themselves so much that they are miserable. Sooner or later failure is inevitable because of the unreasonable demands of most "diets." Some of these diets force you to only eat certain foods (e.g., no carbs, special soups etc…) You, like myself, have probably tried them before. The key to losing weight long term is to make gradual lifestyle changes you can stick to forever. This is where The Mediterranean Diet comes into it's own. It will not only help you lose weight but reduce the Risk of Heart Disease, Blood Pressure & Common Allergies.
3) Most individuals are not provided the truthful facts of losing weight and becoming healthier. With the conflicting information in the media, and all of the different lose weight quick fad diets, it’s understandable why so many people really don’t know the truth about losing fat and keeping it off long term. We will go over the no-nonsense truth.
4) Most people don't understand they are constantly either gaining fat, or losing fat. There is no in-between. Some people justify binging or giving up because they hit a small road-block. This isn’t an all or nothing game. For example, when I was overweight, if I ate an unhealthy lunch, I’d go ahead and eat an unhealthy dinner since I already "messed up" the day. Or I’d say, I’ll start eating healthy on Monday since I’ve already eaten poorly this weekend. Every person at times eats too much. The successful people will not let a road bump completely derail their entire lifestyle change. If you are not implementing positive lifestyle changes and losing weight, you are gaining weight. Again, there is no "in-between."
5) Most people don't realize what they consume each day. So many overweight people eat thousands of extra calories and fat without realizing it. It’s tough to know if you are gaining weight or losing weight each day unless you are keeping an eye on what you’re consuming.

Fastest Way to Lose Weight
When asked what is the fastest way to lose weight you'll get a few different responses. The most common being fasting diets, low carb diets, joining high profile diet clinics, endless exercise and of course surgery. All of these leave you drained for energy, feeling miserable or in the case of the clinics and surgery - cost you a lot of money.
But you're in luck. There is a new revolutionary dieting system that has people losing pounds without stepping foot inside a gym, and best of all you get to eat the foods you love. This new system essentially "tricks" your body into burning off the fat. Some report around 9 pounds every 11 days.. How does it achieve this?
Your body can adapt to changes quite rapidly. One of these changes it can adapt to is the normal dieting programs. If you always eat the same amount of calories at the same time each day your body will adapt and only run off the calories you have been supplying it. It's the same with low carb diets. Not only does your body adapt, it does not receive the proper nutrients it requires so while you may lose a few pounds, you'll also be degrading your health. Surgery, while technically the fastest way to lose weight, leaves your pockets drained and usually involves stomach stapling to shrink your stomach so you no longer get to enjoy your favourite foods.
This new system has you change up your routines daily and ensures your body never has the chance to adapt. It'll be burning calories as it's used to but you'll be supplying it at a completely different rate, therefore it'll burn off the excess fat to cope with the changes. Quick, easy weight loss.
The best part of this system is you are able to eat a lot of the delicious foods you love and don't have to go through the debilitating fatigue and all around miserable feeling that comes with other fad diets.

Free Weight Loss Tips: 4 Positive Ways To Achieve Your Weight Loss Goals
In order to lose weight successfully, you first have to realize that losing weight is a journey with a specific destination. Right now, you’re at the very beginning and about to take the first step towards changing your eating and lifestyle habits, so that you can have the body you really want.
Of course, this isn’t going to be easy – nothing worthwhile ever is. You should pat yourself on the back for making a commitment to yourself that you’re finally ready to do this. So many people can’t even make it this far. So, in a sense, you’re already ahead of the game.
Your goal should be to lose one or two pounds a week, if you lose more than that, great, but don’t push for it. You want to stay mentally focused, healthy and determined. If you push too hard, or try to force your body to lose big numbers, then you’ll eventually stress yourself out and hit a wall that may lead to failure.
Here’s some suggestions that you can use to create a successful weight loss plan:
Set a Reasonable Goal
Your first step should be to decide how much weight you want to lose. Get some 3x5 index cards and write one goal or positive statement down on each one. Start by writing down your ideal weight, this is your ultimate big goal.
Next, you want to set smaller goals for yourself. Write down a goal for losing five pounds, then ten pounds, twenty pounds, etc.
Write down some positive motivational statements about yourself.
“I love myself unconditionally”
“I’m a great person inside and outside”
“I’m going to smile and laugh today”
“I deserve this and I’m worth it”
Keep these cards where you’ll be able to look at them every day.
Eat Smaller Portions More Often
Growing up you were probably taught to eat three meals a day. You were also probably taught to clean your plate. While this schedule of eating meals is well-intentioned, the fact is that you are going to get hungry between breakfast and lunch, and between lunch and dinner.
Not only are you probably having a large portion for each meal, but you are also snacking on junk food in between. Unfortunately, this way of eating leads to a lot of weight gain. It’s been proven that if you eat several small meals during the day, you won’t get hungry between meals and when you do, it’s easier to snack on something that has less calories.
Plan to eat five small meals a day, instead of three, and see if that helps to curb your food cravings.
Keep a Food Journal
Just like a diary is a snippet of events that happen in your life, a food journal helps you to keep track of what you’re really putting into your mouth on a daily basis. You probably have a mental picture of what you normally eat, but when you see it in writing, you may be surprised at all the extra foods you’re eating without even thinking about it.
Write down what you ate, what time you ate it, and how you felt when you ate that particular food. Sometimes when we eat certain “comfort foods” we’re really trying to use food to fill up an emotional hole in our hearts.
Feelings of loneliness, boredom, stress, anger and low-self esteem are often triggers for food binging. Write it down and you can go back and evaluate it later.
Treat Yourself
When you reach one of your weight loss goals, go ahead and treat yourself to something special. The only catch is that your reward cannot be a food item. That’s right, you will not have a bowl of ice cream or a big slice of pizza.
You want to mentally get away from thinking of food as a reward or a security blanket. So, think of some other things that will put a smile on your face. Money is always a good reward. Maybe you can create a reward jar and pay yourself five dollars for every milestone achieved. You could go on a nice shopping spree after you’ve reached your final goal weight.
You could also buy yourself some fresh flowers, a nice pair of earrings, a new video game, a new tie, etc.
Another great idea is to make up your own reward coupon books.
I hope these tips are helpful and that you are successful in creating a healthier and happier new you.

How Does Hypnosis Help You Lose Weight?
The simple answer for the question is we humans are slaves to
habit. Hypnosis is an excellent tool for eliminating bad habits
and creating good habits.
Before you begin any weight loss program, it is very important
that possible medical reasons for excess weight be diagnosed. Get
a clean bill of health from your doctor. This usually comes as an
"eat right and exercise more" statement. We sometimes find
ourselves living to eat rather than eating to live. In our modern
society we have learned to eat for reasons other than hunger.
Most of our eating habits are unconscious and do not involve
actual hunger. We eat because we are emotional, bored, tired,
happy, unhappy, guilty, afraid, sad, and many other reasons that
do not involve hunger. Hypnosis works for weight loss because it
re-programs your unconscious need to eat when not actually
hungry. By eating nutritious food, in the right proportions, only
when hungry, your body will automatically begin to return to a
more ideal weight. Hypnosis is a tool for change at the
sub-conscious level where our habits are formed.
Habits, both good and bad, become unconscious, or automatic.
Have you ever driven your car and arrived at a destination
realizing you were on "auto pilot" the whole time? Without
conscious thinking you stopped for red lights, stop signs, made
turns, and got where you were going. Driving became an
unconscious task and hopefully, all your good driving habits got
you to your destination safely.
The example of being on autopilot also applies to our good and
bad eating habits. That bag of chips, pint of ice cream, or candy
bar etc. can disappear almost without our knowledge. Many people
who struggle with weight often find that their eating habits have
become unconscious. For driving our car, the unconscious keeps us
safe. For food, our habits may drive us to eat when hunger is not
a factor.
Hypnosis is a very natural, pleasant state of mind that often
occurs twice a day for most people. It is a dreamy far away
feeling that we sometimes experience just before drifting off to
sleep at night, or just before being fully awake in the morning.
Another example of how you feel in hypnosis would be gazing into
a fireplace or campfire, you are aware of everything around you
but you just drift enjoying the relaxed feeling. In Hypnosis you
will be aware at all times but the awareness is in the
background.
The hypnotic state for weight loss opens the subconscious seat of
our habits to suggestions by a skilled hypnotic guide. These
suggestions reinforce our good habits and replace our bad
habits.
Hypnosis provides powerful subconscious suggestions for eating
healthy nutritious foods and snacks. The first time you reach for
that bag of cookies and your hand stops in mid air you will
realize that you are now in control. It is a powerful testament
to the power of your mind.
Hypnosis is a powerful tool for following the Doctor's advice to
eat right and exercise.
